  • any threadlocker?

    hi everyone just took my 2006 katana's fairing off .when i took the mirrors off the bolt were real tight just want to know .do i neeed any thread locker when i go to put it back together.first one ive dove into.also wanting to know do they need to be torqe and if so what's the setting and which ones do ?sorry if i posted in wrong spot,plus first bike im doingmods to just want to be sure i do it right the first time .i read the thread on taking fairing off it help but didnt see ant thing on my questions. thanks for you time

    You do not need to use any thread lock or proper torque really.
    If you do use thread locker use a mild one...
    I've never used a torque wrench on the mirror bolts.

      I take my fairings off too many times to put threadlocker on the mirror bolts.

          Actually I would use never seize.. I've heard a few people complain about those bolts buggering up..

            Yeah , mirror bolts tend to rust up for some reason .
            I am a fluffy lil cuddly lovable bunny , dammit !

              Easiest way to get a thread locked here, is mention cowls...
