I'm amazed at how quickly kickstands can sink into hot pavement. Fortunately, I just got my bike and it hasn't happened to me yet. My MSF instructors told us about the crushed can coming in handy. A small piece of wood will function the same as the pop can. There's enough room under the seat to store either, so I'd better get something in there.

I have been around for a little while, and see these kinds of threads a lot (hey it happens). But for some reason when I clicked on this one I though I was going to be reading how you dropped a baby (like a real one). Did you eat paint chips when you where little? every body does it. The first day with my first bike in front of my work place, i dropped that bad boy and busted the blinker. I think a dove died that day.
