  • RPM for best mileage

Since my 750 Kat is for commuting, I am more interested in fuel mileage than performance. What RPM should I be shifting at in town? The speed limits vary from 30mph to 55mph. It's a 22 mile stretch. Thanks for the input!

For those speeds, I'd keep it in the 4K - 5K range it's where you will get decent economy along with having her near the powerband, should you need it for collision avoidance.

usually shift mine around 4 around town, for safety, leave the rpm's high, for mileage, i usually let my rpm's set around 4000 for cruising the town.

3.5-4.5 by judging when it starts to lug.

            Just because they sound the same doesn't mean they are: there≠their≠they're; to≠too≠two; its≠it's; your≠you're; know≠no; brake≠break
