Took the bikes out for a short 200 mile run today.

Disassembled carbs (it actually was pretty fun), checked spark plugs. Gonna reassemble carbs and install new plugs tomorrow

I charged my battery all last night. Started it up today and everything seems good again. Just left the key on run too long yesterday.
If it wasnt raining now I would be practising on it for my skills test coming up next week.

Did some adjustments. Clutch adjuster on the bars is almost all the way out...too lazy to take the fairings off today to get at the bottom end. Here was a fun one though: i finally figured out that the idle should be above 1000 (derp). So I went to the idle adjuster and tried turning it and it would move, but not actually turn (if that makes sense). So I guess my carbs were pretty gummed up? I got it loosened up and adjusted it to a prime 1300. Gave it a good unwinding an rewinding too. Took her out after these fine tunings and felt like a whole new bike. Amazing.


On a side note, is this a sign I shoul be getting my carbs cleaned/synced/valves adjusted? :shrug
