Promptly started peeling the "Katana" decals off the front fairing. Chrome stickers = ugh.

Took out the K&N air filter, put in the stock air filter, put in airmax dark smoke screen and screen spike bolts. Running much better and looking flash.

Just got in from Cupertino to Oakland in 33 minutes. I'm now finding that if I keep the rpm's above 7000, my hands dont fall a sleep. I think I'm going to try a larger rear spocket.Comment

I cut a deal for bodywork and more paint for this winter. get the broken tabs fixed, paint on the frame, do something with the rims, fork tubes, calipers,,,,,, In return i get to rebuild a HD 1000cc motor that's been bored out to a 1200. gotta love trades <g>99% of the questions asked here can be answered by a 2 minute search in the service manual. Get a service manual, USE IT.

woke up, went out and started the bike to let it warm up (only about 18 degrees at 7am). Then rode it 65 miles one way to the DMV to take my ride test. Was informed on arrival that I was early........... by an entire day. Apparently I was given the wrong day by the woman I talked to on the phone when I made the appointment. She said "They only test out at that DMV location on Tuesdays", actually it's "Wednesdays" for basically every DMV office in the entire state. Going back again tomorrow morning to take the test, but hauling the bike out there in the back of my truck this time.
