      Nice job with the dremel. I just did mine today; took the whole shovel off (pre 98) and used a universal tail tidy to mount the indicators and number plate. Looks so much better.

        upon another KR user's suggestion, I used a razor knife. I have the double-edged carpet type knife, but a boxcutter would work better. The razor cuts through the ABS plastic like butter, took all of about 10 seconds, and no mess.

        I highly suggest anyone wanting to do this mod try a razor knife before working the dremel.

                Looks great bgraff1lsu.
                Don't worry about keeping the turn signals.
                The Clear Alternatives Integrated is only about $80...
                Very easy mod to do. And it is BRIGHT as all Hell...

                        I used some masking tape to ensure the line was straight then I used a file to get ride of the melted plastic that occurs because of the heat created.

                          Looks good man when you are ready to take it the rest of the way off I still have like 3 foot of angle aluminum from doing mine just lemme know I'll send ya a piece for your license plate to mount on.

                            I looked at your garage pictures, its looks great, I haven't decided on the integrated (im a weenie and want people to see my gigantic turn signals). I would like to see some more pics under the tail of how it is mounted. Screw those $120 eliminator kits, what a rip, rather get a jacket or helmet with that $$ or a couple months worth of gas
