I want to buy one off the internet and wonder how it snaps on. Can anyone help me. Also, does it come prepainted. I own a 2006 and wonder if it would fit my bike. thanks....

Depends on who's cowl you buy I guess.
A Braada cowl has 4 metal tabs that bend under the seat holding it in position. It come unpainted but has a coat of primer on it.
I have no idea how the other cowls are though and your best bet is to ask the sellers.Kyle -

Pretty much from 98 to current are the same cowls that will fit your bike. Pre 98's are different. As for paint, prolly the only way it is gona come prepainted is if you get it from someone that has the same color bike as you, and the part is used.
Painting really isn't that hard tho, specially when it is something small like that.Kan-O-Gixxer!
