We are having a problem routing the hoses on our Katana 600...where do the 2 hoses (similar length) coming from the carburetor go. There is no canister system on this machine and the idle speed cannot be stabilized...we suspect a vacuum or hose routing problem...we replaced the original gas tank with a California model and wonder if this could be a problem...there are no emission controls...our manual covers 1988 to 1996 models. Our model is a 1990 on which we have installed 1997 carburetors. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

they drape over the air box, they connect to nothing, they are vent hoses. The carbs are the same on the 600 from 90-97 they are BST33SS.

Thanks for the reply Arsenic...we were uncertain about their purpose and routing...they appeared to have some influence when moved around.
