Your best bet it to get a new slip on depending on the type of sound you are looking for...I'm not sure if I'd want to screw around with the Yoshi since it it valuable...I'd look at ebay for a stock exhaust and mess with that one...Just my .02..

If you want to mess with a stock can, I've got one from an 02 I'm trying to get rid of.

i don't know about "deeper or throatier"....

but first we need to know how your can is held together, is it a welded one piece can or is it riveted, or yet again has it got an allen bolt in the end cap locking it together...

              what material is the sleeve??

i've twin cans on my 1127, stainless caps and carbon sleeves all rivetted together (stainless rivets), i carefully drilled/ground the rivets out and then cut about 7inches from both the perforated tube and the sleeves, then reassembled them with new stainless rivets, mine are 2" (or 50mm) straight thru cans that are no name due to the fact i built them out of old damaged cans...

i think they have a lovely rumble but unfortunately i can't get a decent sound clip of them, a single can would have a different sound of course...

              click the picture to listen

              it ain't broke ....

              i ain't fixed it enough

                What the other said.

Or, you can send it back to Yoshi and they will tweak the baffle for ya...for a fee of course
This "Phat Chick" rides her own!!!
BTW, I think they may have been correct. It does appear that BLACK is indeed the FASTEST color. R.O.R...R.I.P.M
