    If you loosen the bolts on the forks, they will fall quickly, however, you do one at a time. Loosen up 2 of the 3 bolts. then slowly loosen the 3rd. as you loosen the 3rd bolt the fork will start to slide up due to the weight of the bike. It can only slide so far before it binds because one side will now be lower than the other. Once it slides some, tighten the bolt and repeat for the other fork. you might have to do it a few times to be accurate. do not let the ofr slide up more than 1.5". any farther and you create more problems with bottoming out. hope that helps.
