  • useful spec info for all....

I have posted this site up in the past, and think it is time to do it again for the new members who might not know of it. It occurred to me to re-post after reading a recent post about the stock hp of a 1200 bandit.

so bookmark this site. it will give you all the engine specs of virtually any bike.

      Mojoe, what about the accuracy?
      Are these manufacturer's specs?

I can't say for certainty that all info is correct, but all the 1100 kats and gixxers are pretty much dead on.

I personally find the site useful when it comes to carbs. It is accurate when it says the US model of my 93 1100 kat comes with 34mm carbs, and if I want a set of 40mm for the 1127 engine, I can find them on the 91 GSX-R 1100M.

personally, I would trust the specs. the bandit reference in the other post had someone link to a site that said the bandit 1200 was tested at 96hp stock, and this site states it at 98hp max.

a while back when Mojoe first introduced me to this site, I compared a few of the specs with info listed on a few other sites. All bikes i checked were listed about the same.

Thanks for the post mojoe. Forgot all a bout this site.

Good site. I was a bit surprised to see the top speed of the 05 750...
                143 MPH!

Awesome site. I've now started the search for this thing. I don't know what markets it was sold in, but it's ****ing awesome

Edit: After thumbing around this site some more, I've concluded 2 things. 1, the late 80's early 90's was a cool time for wicked awesome bikes, 2. the north american market is missing out on some great bikes, and needs to break away from the race rep, and v-twin cruiser market. diversity people, diversity.

They list the pre-750 as having a top speed of 146mph . (maybe going down hill with a strong tailwind)

the pre 750 should hit that easy enough. I had my 88 600 maxed at 255 km/h indicated before. even with a 10% margin of error, thats 143 mph.

I guess I've never encountered a road long and flat enough for me to try. It just doesn't seem like it would have enough guts for that.
