My mother in law asked me if I was worried about getting my helmet stolen...I told her I lock it under the seat and she said the same as above...all you have to do is cut the strap....I told her it was understood by many that taking someones helmet is almost as bad as stealing the bike and if other bikers saw someone doing that...the theif would be in for a really good A$$ whooping...doesn't matter if its Harley or Sportbike riders..they probably would all feel the same way....Just my $.02..
