  • I scared the crap outta myself tonight

I wheelied the Kat tonight, and scared the crap outta myself... I was coming home from Target and was stopped at a stop sign, ended up thinking I was driving the car, revved her up, popped the clutch and up comes the front wheel. It's not the first time I've done a wheelie, just the first time on a Kat and I certainly wasn't expecting it.

I ended up remembering how to set her down easy since I didn't want to replace fork seals, gently let off the throttle and she comes down real easy. Considering the last time I had to do it was 5 years ago ona 450cc motocross bike, I was a little surprised how well it turned out.

I don't think it's as hard to wheelie a Kat as everyone seems to think it is

Last time I tried to wheelie, I spun the back tire for 100ft.

Yes I'm an American, yes I have guns, and yes I won't hesitate to use them to protect my family, my property, and myself

I didn't mean it literally.... I got into the habit this weekend of having to wrap the engine and drop the clutch in the Cooper. If you don't it takes 10-20 seconds to get up to 10MPH, then it flies.

I tried to do the same on the Kat and went a little overboard It was 2 blocks away from my house on a street that was completely empty and I was in total control the whole time.

I like that "total control" thing.
It's not speed that kills, it's the deceleration!

It was a really slick road, it was very un-impresive.
