In my house it is all about the Benjamins... and me keeping as many as possible. I wanted an I4, fully faired bike that could haul and was cheap to buy and insure.

Comfort, style and speed were secondary considerations.

There was a B12 at the dealer at the same time and if I had to do it again, I might go for the 1200 instead... it had the older fugly nose fairing with the big square headlight.

When the road is right and my head is clear there is nothing like a buck+ to blow away all the "soul garbage" and give that thrill that makes you realize that life is fragile and all your problems are really meaningless. This is the same feeling I get at 40 on a back road all alone in the deep middle of nowhere too so it's not going fast or slow, it's just going and being on 2 wheels.

Well I actually started looking at my kat becouse of the insurance rates and styling . i wanted to have a sport bike n but did not like the idea of having to pay so much for insurance . Than came all the other stuff

Style - I was sold on the unique look.

Comfort - I didn't want to be folded up

Performance - It ate, my Buell and left my buddies X1, during break in!

Speed - Not my thing any more, 4th season and 13K mi, still haven't cracked a buck.

Price - It was nice to save $2K, but I walked into the dealer planning to drop a whole lot more.
