Thought I would add my results. Drill the case and bolted up the pivot for the shifter. As Monger had said he pushed the slave in before bolting up the case with slave. I did the same and installed the new line. Bled the system with Dot 4 and it works like a charm. There is no problem from what i can see using the Katana plunger rod to push the clutch basket.
My opinion, this is worth the $100 to do it. Even cheaper if your lucky on EBay. The hydraulic steel braided line cost me more then the whole clutch system but it's worth it.

I'm glad to near that it worked out well for you. The only thing that I would have done differently would have been to get a different master cylinder. After a few trips to the local dealer, I think that the Busa master cylinder would have been a better fit for out bars because it has the detent for where the bar risers go which would allow for a little more rotation adjustment. Oh well, if it annoys me too much I have seen the Busa parts on Ebay for around 30 bucks.

I should have my parts soon , i could not get a 2003
sprocket cover but found one from a 97 bandit 1200 so
i'll modify that one for the speed sensor .
as for the clutch master i got one from gsxr 1100 .

          cant wait to start !!

i put an 87 750 gsxr clutch cover on my gsx1100f motor, hydraulic clutch on both...

i only did that because i needed the shifter peg due to the engine going in the 87 slabby frame, nice simple swap ..

one question, wouldn't the slave fit onto your cable operated covers ??
                it ain't broke ....

                i ain't fixed it enough
