  • new rider, 88' 1100 kat. advice?

Recently bought a 1988 1100 Kat , this is my first bike but I feel completely natural on her. She goes like hell but I like that she can be a little docile as well. It was stored I doors over the winter , the guy said he started every week but I doubt it. I'm wondering what I should do before I really start riding her full time. Any advice would be helpful!

If it runs good and there is nothing obvious that is wrong or wore out I would just ride it and have fun. Oh, you might want to change the oil and filter just to be safe. They are great bikes.

Check the date code on the tires and make sure the fork seals are not letting oil run onto the brakes. Also never hurts to bleed the brakes and clutch to get some new fluid in the system.

      Enjoy.
