  • Tach needle bouncing around

I have a 1993 Katana 1100 and my tach needle bounces between 4k-7k while I am running on the freeway. Sometimes it will be closer to 4k and I hit a bump and it jumps up to 7k or so and than it will bounce back down.
Any ideas of what I should look for.

    thanks,
    Lee

Was the connector at the back of the gauge or near the engine?
I will check it out this weekend.

        Thanks
