You're pegs aren't gunna drag dude. Promise.
And if you did manage to get low enough to drag a peg, they fold back. If you just want some for looks, that's cool or whatever but they won't be any less likely to drag.
I had hundreds of dollars in suspension work, and ran the chicken strips completely off my tires at the tail of the dragon and never dragged a peg.My build thread (Black Betty) '97 600 (Dearly Departed)

Are you sure they are stock? The stock ones aren't that wide, and if they ARE scratched, its likely that someone low sided the bike, or it was otherwise dropped it somehow. My build thread (Black Betty) '97 600 (Dearly Departed)

Poor suspension or lowered bike will put the pegs into a drag situation. Normally they would flex up and not cause a problem. I've drug the pegs on my pre many times prior to the suspension work. AFter that, never again have I come close... dragging knee.

Stock pegs. I think Krey called it on this one, if they have hit the ground its due to a sagging or lowered suspension. I still call dropped. All these bikes have hit the ground at least once. lol Either way, I wouldnt worry too much about the pegs. Especially if you got chicken strips. Krey is not only a damn genius, but I hear he can ride pretty good too. lol So, yeah I wouldnt worry about them too much. If you do drag, it will probably be just barely. Then you will know your limits, and they fold back, so it will push your foot back as it folds.
I never even thought about the fact that I never dragged pegs because of the elimination of shitty suspension sag. That WOULD make alot more sense. I could get that thing P-R-E-T-T-Y far over cuttin thru the dragon. lol
PS You wont buy pegs smaller than those. The universal ones are usually long to accommodate a wider range of riding styles/riders/bikes.My build thread (Black Betty) '97 600 (Dearly Departed)
