WAhoo!
I have been struggling with this issue for months now and have read this thread on several different occasions and have had no luck, and have watched the youtube videos and still couldn't accomplish it. I always have to have just a little help with getting her up on the stand. Hubby does it for me, or helps me by just lifting up ever so slightly on the rear grab bar while I am doing everything else.
But finally, I did it. Yesterday I got her on the centerstand all by myself. The key was grabbing her by the passanger peg and maybe having only 1/2 tank of gas instead of my usual full tank. But at least this weekling of a woman finally put the Kat in her place!
Now to see if I can repeat it with a full tank of gas!sigpic Like usual, It's all my husband's fault... After insisting that his woman should try out his yellow Kat, I just had to get my own Kat! I really should quit listening to his brillant ideas.

any tips for placing a functional center stand on a pre kat 600 with a D&D after market exhaust setup.
I want a center stand without the expense of returning the bike to a stock exhaust setup.
Maybe a better question is:
Would anyone in the Sacramento area like to upgrade to the aftermarket D&D slip-on/louder aftermarket exhaust pipe?? Maybe trade me evens and throw in your center stand which may be of no use to you after you put on the D&D pipes???
Thanks in advance.
