First ride on the kat today.

Well after fixing minor pieces and cleaning the carbs 4 or 5 times I finally took my bike out for it's maiden voyage. This being my first bike I dont have much to compare it to except a Harley of my fathers I have rode. The bike seems rather nimble easily manuvered and steered. I actually loveing the ride. Only a few more minor issues to tweek out bike idles smooth and runs good however when riding when I hit 4k it seems to hesitate and fall on its face if I tweek the throttle a little more 5k and up runs like a champ. Not sure why but I'm sure I'll narrow it down any input would help. But other than that its great. Just thought I would write up a little something.

you probably have flat o-rings and or another vacuum leak from airbox boots or a loose clamp etc. Give it the spray down trick with starting fluid around each connection
