  • Just saw a near-fatal motorcycle crash

I just saw a guy on a supersport crash. He was trying to overtake some cars at a very high speed. When he tried to switch lanes, he lost control. He went into a pole at more than 70mph! I saw his helmet fly about 60 ft in the air and his bike landed on top of him! I called the cops and another guy rushed to get the bike off him. The paramedics got him breathing, but the nurse, who stopped at the scene, said she did not get a pulse. The worst part was his wife was about a half mile down the road and saw it all. They said he will probably be a vegetable if he even makes it to the hospital. Brutal.

The lesson of the day: know your limits!

true lesson here is that being an asshat leads to pain and suffering for others more than you.

Thoughts go out to the family, they are the real victims when this happens.

What was a fetus doing on a motorcycle anyway?

After the fact, I would say his wife as the rider, if he ends up being a vegetable, wont have the mind capacity anymore. He wont know that he's even alive.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. I am sorry you witnessed that. It is a hard thing to see.

I feel bad for his wife. She has to live with his lack of judgment.

I was driving home yesterday afternoon and the driving habits I witnessed from other bike riders and some cars really put me off. The majority of the bikers were zig zagging throughout the close quartered traffic at a high rate of speed apparently showing off to the other drivers and some kids in souped up hondas (CAGERS ) were zipping at high speeds on the sholder of the road. The traffic was real heavy most people comming back from cottages etc. I was just hoping to get home in one piece. I assume that most drivers dont see my bike and try to keep a good distance "out" in case of some infraction. Sadly most of the bike accidents are from either high rates of speed or careless riding. Not a sissy rider, but one that is aware that most accidents on bikes result in using your ride for something it was not intended for. Racing is for the track and not city streets or highways.

                          Peace......
