  • Tire broke loose at 120

Just like many others here , the weather is finally breaking and we are getting a chance to ride again
Today as the temps here neared the 50's I decided to put some miles on
A buddy and I headed out around noon and rode for about 2 hrs, even thow it was a little cold, I was loving it
I told my wife I would meet her at her moms for supper
I headed home trying to beat the setting sun
At about 120km/h I hit a stretch of frost heaved pavement (just like wash board) that launched me in the air enough to cause rear wheel spin
Instant arse pucker and racing heart!
It made the iced over road that we crossed earlier in the day seem like nothing
I guess my my advice is take it easy my northern friends
the snow is gone but winter isn't over yet !

Between the salt, dirt, craters, umm I mean pot holes and the OPP on the prowl it's the time of year to be taking it very easy.

But it IS great to be back on 2 wheels .

Gravel is still all over some roads, you definitely need to be cautious

I am in Florida, and we are expecting a cold front to pass through tonight with light rain, then cooler weather the rest of the week. Lows in the 50's and highs only in the high 60's to low 70's. We do have hazards though... snowbirds!

I put about 80 miles on the bike on Saturday. I came through a nice sweeper, and there is a tree line on the left. Yup, whole road was ice just as you stand the bike up. Good thing I was too chicken to take the corner fast due to salt/sand. That put some hair on my...err. toes.
