  • Vintage Kat Morning

Hi folks, yesterday was a great day for an early morning ride and some friends were keen to dust off their Kats for some fun out in the back blocks here in Queensland Australia. Rang a few mates and this is the result from the local guys here.

15 vintage Kats out for a ride.

Only took a couple of photos so not a lot to pick from, we were busy talking Kats and catching up on news. We're Old School and like to talk, no social media here thank you.

The part about just talking Kats made me think about how often with my post, someone comes up kind of surprised to see a Kat and starts talking about the one they used to have. They all sound like it is a good memory. And we all know why.
I am amazed when I see pics of one vintage Kat let alone fifteen! I could not even say when the last time I even saw one in person. I would have to guess very early 90's.

Here is a photo I took of three Kats on a ride with friends a couple of years ago, mine is the first one with the sunlight bouncing off the alloy rims.

              Cheers.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. I have owned her for 29 years now and I would like to think I will be riding the roads with her for the next 20-30 years.

                    Cheers.

Very nice bikes in deed. I know overseas in Japan I think they still made that style up until a few years ago.
