  • New kid on the block (2001 GSX750F)

    Here are some photos of my new "toy".

    I just bought it last Wednesday and we are still getting knowing each other...

    I want to polish or paint the swing arm. Does someone know if it's made from steel or aluminum that can be polished to chrome finish?

    great looking bike!and welcome you can polish the swing arm. just sand off the anodized finish first, and progressively work toward finer grit paper until you get to 1500 or 2000 (wet sand) then polish.

              Are you sure about that? Other members claim that the swingarn is made from steel....

                  Yes, mild steel. 100% sure of that. I've cut/welded enough of them...

                        Thanks for the "heads up" I've only been to Belgium once before and now my kat is nearly finished with holidays coming up I'm looking for an excuse for a tour
