  • My Kat after a few weeks of ownership.......

So I just bought my Kat 600 a few weeks ago, and I decided I wanted to repaint and repair the bike. I bought some Ford Grabber Blue and some new decals and went to town this weekend.......here is a before picture:

and here she is after.....I know it is a lot of blue, but I just love this color....

the picture is before I got the mirrors and turn signals back on. When I took the tank off, i am not sure if I got all the hoses back in the right spots......there is a hose that comes from the sending unit next to the guage wires, is that hose just an overflow? or does it go somewhere?

That's a drain hose for if the sending unit gasket starts leaking. It gets routed down between the carbs and off to the side of the engine.

I bought the decals on ebay, they were inexpensive, and they were able to be cleared over, so they look painted on.

I picked the color because I was at a Ford Dealer and saw a GT500 Mustang there in the same color, I went home and looked up the paint code and bought a quart

Thanks for all the compliments! it was a long tedious process due to someone dropping the bike before me, so I had to fiberglass, fill, and sand my *** off to get the fairings back to normal.
