Wow...... just wow...... that's truly one sweet-looking ride. I hope your son appreciates it as much as I do.
sigpicLife throws you curves......enjoy the ones you get when riding.

So far he has paid for most of the project, but he does appreciate all help I can give him.
He really loves this bike. He started on a EX500 then moved up to my Kat last summer after selling the 500 to help pay to move cross country.

          Part 2:
My son had an accident and damaged the front fairing, headlight, windshield, dented the tank etc etc, so the stock factory look was hopeless. Fixed all the cracks and breaks as good as posible and repainted it. SOn decided he wanted to lose the white this time around and went with a metal flake black, and a lkittle brighter metallic blue. Going to run a 1/2" silver tape stripe to cover the blue/black seams. Not perfect, but much better than it looked before we started. Still need ot wet sand and polish it before the rally.

Yeah he wrecked it about a year and a half ago. We pierced it back together enough to ride it, just took a while to decide where he wanted to go with it scheme wise.

What did you pay for the bike?

When he originally bought it, he paid $1700, then we put about $400 in to it to get it road worthy. About another $250 into it since the wreck to clean it up again.
