You really want the luggage to be directly over the rear tire. I hope you upgraded that rear shock too... nice luggage though

I love it. This is what the bike was made for. Long tours with luggage. not wheelie down to K-mart.

There are a few rear shocks that can fit: Bandit 1200, R6, and Hayabusa to name a few. I installed a Bandit 1200 in mine and absolutely love it. It not only made the ride more comfortable but it also improved my riding skill as I can lean much more than I could have before. The only modifications that needed to be done were to the shock itself and none to the bike. The bandit 1200 shock is a little long... I had Tmod rebuild the shock and he placed spacers within the shock so that it would work properly. The Bandit 1200 will also raise the rear a few inches, my rear tire still touches the ground with the center stand up but it is completely stable still. From what I hear the R6 will lower the rear end. IMO talk to Tmod if you are serious about an upgrade, it does not cost very much and replacing the spring is only 2 bolts.

                  Check it out.

Pre and Post bikes will take different replacement shocks.

The R6 shock is not suitable for 98+ appliactions.

Thanks for the mounting bracket pics! I've wanted to find a way to put luggage on mine inexpensively and this gave me a few ideas! Thanks!

                            You have K-marts in Norway?
