96 Kat750 undergoing big makeover (the start)

I have a 96 Kat. 750 that I am going through and redoing quit a few things.

1) Painting entire bike
2) New rear shock (off a 02 1200 Bandit)
3) Race Tech fork springs
4) New rear tire (unsure on brand as of now)
5) Seat recover
6) New chain, front and rear sprockets
7) Tinted zero gravity front shield
8) Shovel chop
9) Valve Adjustment
10) Cam cover gasket
11) Jets in carbs
12) Powder coat of various parts..

Sounds like a lot of work ahead of you. If you're mostly riding straight roads, you might want to check into the Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires for the Kat. I have over 7600 miles on mainly straight highways on a PR rear tire on my GSX-R750 so far and it still looks pretty good. Will probably last me 10k miles or more.

Solo seat cowl?? DID you make it or buy it? I would love to get one.

My Pirelli Strada I got almost 10k on, I ride lots of back roads, the middle
just got worn away.

I thought about a candy red, or like a deep metal flake orange. There are so many colors I like.. I also thought about powder coating the wheels as well.

I got my solo cowl from Terry. I recently remember a post where he said he'd be willing to make more if he had a donor seat to work off of.
here's a picture of one like he made, and one fitted onto another members bike.

Update on project

First thanks for the Info on the Cowl for my bike.

Second I have almost got all the paint off all the parts to be painted.
It is a lot of work due to all the layers of paint on the parts. I kinda have a color in mind right now finally, I am thinking of a metal flake orange with a different color belly pan.

Any thoughts on a color that would look right with a Darker burnt orange color with silver or gold metal flake..

I am also going to powder the wheels I have decided at this point if the $$ does not run out.. LOL
