I consider the Gixxer to be camouflage up there. I took a page from Van's book last week. I was north bound on NC28 headed for the Gap last week in the tight section just before Fontana Village. I met a TVA cop while leaned over and at around 10,000 RPM. Looked in the mirror as I was transitioning to the next right-hander and his brake lights were on and he was working on turning on me. I stepped it up a bit, got to the Hellbender store and was on my feet with my jacket and helmet off when he went by with his lights on. Thanks, Van for the tips!!

I was talking to David Spotts yesterday telling him that very thing - that I'm just another Gixxer dragging a knee, etc etc. I guess Dave had mentioned it to Darryl (small town, Deal's Gap) and Darryl posted me up just for the fact I had a new bike. Completely expected to be relegated to the just-another-GSXR-knee-down crowd.

It is kind of nice to be able to blend in a bit and not have to listen to the "MAN you did that on a Katana?!" banter.
