  • French Motorpolice Shooting From FJR 1300

This would be a lot of fun to practice, but for now I will focus on just keeping my butt planted on the bike while it remains vertical. It would be interesting to see whether the next step for them is the tactical reload. I hope this is not a repost, apologies to all involved if it is.... (My 100th post....yea!)

I can see the need for training one officer per bike for weapons training, but really how often do two officer ride on the same bike.

Talk about alot of coordination. Riding with one hand, staying on a narrow strip of pavement and not hitting the cones...unholstering, aiming, firing your weapon, and the guy at 2:00 even hit his brakes...doing that ALL at the same time. Takes practice.

I agree with Dynamic. I've never seen two cops ride the same bike. Maybe if one guy wrecked his bike, and he jumped on the back of his partners bike??? It could be possible...

I'll be impressed when they can get through the training with targets that return fire.

                        Tactical withdrawal or extraction?

I would be a little nervous with some dude going cross-draw behind me while riding though. And that "nuts to butt" thing the instructors were doing around 2:45 was a little disconcerting!

This is awesome. We need that course here - but it needs to be next to a groovy bar with sexy waitresses. I don't want to travel far to satisfy all my vices - guns, speed, booze and women.

Ya i was thinking the same thing.. no way i'd have somebody with a gun drawn on my arse.. but thats just me.. fun exercise though.. at that point in range a return fire would knock you off that bike.. they should do the drill with paintball guns and see how the driver weathers the storm.. i'm thinking not so well
