Are you planning on installing the lower cowling?? To get that wrap around complete look??
Buc
Not sure yet...the set of lowers I had was pretty thrashed and I had been doing some extra repairs to them during the painting of everything else when I struck a deal with a former KP member in the bay area for a set of lowers in pristine condition (go figure, I had actually just gone to buy a good title gsxr frame and tank from him )
Anyway, I'm going to scuff/prime/paint them to match soon and see how it looks. I actually still have a set of large black stealthly suzuki logos that I would split between the upper and lowers if it looks good. Should get time at the end of this weekend or possible next.
I hope you can get it to fit. I think it will look great.
here is mine
Its back at the painters after the tank developed a leak and ate the paint off of the left fairing URL=http://img358.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc007940ad.jpg][/URL]
Sorry to drag this up from the dead, but it was the only pics thread of pre-98 Kats....I was beginning to feel like I was the only one.
Here is my 96 600. The black specks are from the damn decal removal (goo-gone, wd-40, bug & tar remover, rubber "eraser wheel", and I still have sticky crap on there!) But I plan to copy BearKat and Waltari with the semi-flat black paint over the winter....appeals to the old skool in me
(and yes, that is a cupholder by the rear pegs...gotta have my coffee in the AM, and it's the only way I can get it to work w/o spilling...get funny looks all the time though)
Notec, the black moulding around your windscreen....is that the "fender trim" stuff that you get from the autoparts store (has the adhesive inside, comes in a small roll)? It's on my shopping list, just haven't gotten out yet.
Is it holding up fine?
