  • After The Rebuild...

Here is some pictures of my bikes after the wreck....

After the wreck, with the addition of fiberglass, paint, blood sweat and tears...

Took me about 4 weeks, working every evening, through the night some nights, and scrounging and saving to get it back to "Rideable" Condition. I'm Happy, I done some carb work while the tank was off, change body color, finished the "poor mans exhaust" and cleaned everything up a little.

    -New Brake Lever
    -New Brake Pads
    -Fixed Fairings
    -Poor mans exhuast
    -EBC HH Brake Pads
    -New Brake Fluid
    -New Bars
    -Painted TT-Clamp

    -More Pics later
Tell me what you think, still looking at some decals and try to make up my mind.

      Looks great!
The accident really wasn't that bad, IMHO.
However, with a few decals it will be looking better than it did before the accident.
Kats always seem to look better to me when owners put some work into them...stock always seems pretty dull.

Looks great, can tell you spent a lot more time on the prep work than I did on mine. Good job.

Highsided @ 40, the kat came out well i agree there, but alot of the stuff that was wrong didnt show up in the pictures, but i can agree it wasnt awful and it provided a great learning experience disassembling and reassembling everything, got to know the kat alot better and i'm alot more comfortable with working on it now, learned the A/F screws, airbox install & removal (along with the airfilter) learned how to adjust the wheel/chain , it actually turned out to be a positive exerperience.

The color is Performance Red, I it would have been a little darker, but the coats went on light to help avoid runs and even more sanding/fixing.

Thanks for all the comments guys!

                        Great work!!

You did a great job! But I think I would paint the tank gloss black so the windshield flows into the tank which flows into the seat. Just an idea!

think im going to add some gloss black vinyl (custom cut) to the tank, Im going to try to get everything to blend a little better... Thanks for the compliments and "critiques" guys... I'm open to suggestions for sure, I got it this far, but im at "painters block?" .... cant really grab any new ideas right now...
