It is soooo much lighter (-150lbs.) and it just flicks into and out of corners. The biggest difference I noticed while riding was the need to be slightly more forceful with respect to countersteering. Still "getting used to it", but I fall a little more in love every mile!

            I miss my Kat too!

My nighthawk and cx are doing well keeping me sedated until I get the Monster or SuperDuke I want.
Hell even a SV650 would do....vtwins sound GOOD wound up.
As for the Kat, it was uuber reliable and I just MISS the simplicity and good looks.
            My sig is boring.

                    1. 2002 Suzuki Katana 600
Yup, I used to be a Katana rider. My first bike. I bought it in July of 2002. I sold it in January of 2004.

                    2. 1993 Suzuki Katana 600
I was actually looking for a bike that Meg could learn to ride on. She didn't even really want to learn at that point. Only had the bike for about 2 months. Bought it with 3400 original miles in showroom condition for a steal, and sold it to some guy in Annapolis shortly there after. I kind of wish I'd kept that bike...

                    3. 2003 Honda VFR800 Interceptor
                    Bought June 2003
I'd wanted an Interceptor since I was a little kid. I'd just always been mesmerized by them, even though I knew NOTHING about motorcycles. I finally had enough skill to handle my first modern design sport bike / sport-tourer. I traded it in on 9/11/04.

                    4. 1978 Suzuki GS550E
Ahh, the $500 bike that was too good to turn down. The carbs needed a cleaning, but that's it. I rode it from Westchester, PA home to MD with no problem. That's the last real ride it's gotten. I rebuilt the carbs. Sold about 2 years ago.

                    5. 1999 Suzuki GSX-R600
Bought this in December of 2003. It was an ABSOLUTE steal at 3k. It was my track bike. Everything imaginable is upgraded and it came with boxes and boxes of spares. Sold before moving to SC almost 2 years ago.

                    6. 2004 Aprilia Tuono
Got this bike in May of 2004. It was a birthday present from Megan! Yeah, I was FLOORED to say the least. I love it... It's truly the perfect bike for me... However, I haven't ridden it in almost a year, and I'm putting it up for sale.

                    7. 2005 Honda XR650L
My first dual sport. Sold before moving to SC almost 2 years ago. Shame, too. In MD there was nowhere to ride it. Down here there are tons of places.

                    8. 2001 Aprilia RSV Mille R
Wasn't planning on getting a Mille. I was planning on selling the GS, XR, and GSX-R and getting another Tuono, actually. Couldn't turn down this deal though. Loved this bike. But, just didn't do any track days once I got down to SC and there weren't enough twisties in the immediate area to justify keeping it. Sold it shortly after moving to SC.

                    9. 2005 Yamaha FZ1

Bought in 4/05 brand new. Both a commuter bike and a bike for Meg to ride. It's going up for sale, too.
