Same here, i live about 2 miles from where I work.

Damn , I WISH I lived 2 miles from work . I'd either ride a bicycle or skate . AFTER I get back from my pre-work ride , that is .
I just take the highway to work everyday . It's about 25 miles away . I HAVE taken the "back way" a couple times , but that's about the same time the kiddies are getting out of school and such , so not as fun as on the weekends . So I enjoy a few extra minutes of sleep instead and take the highway .
