    Slide your foot back on the peg, so that the ball of your foot, not the "palm," is on the peg. I once had my foot try to fold under the peg, riding with my foot like you do- didn't go under, but scared the hell out of me.

      Heres how I handle that:
      As I see what direction the curve goes (left for example)
      I shift my left foot back and move my weight (slide a butt cheek over) to the left. This is all done before entering the turn.. As you move your foot back you instictively plant the right side foot getting you ready to move off the seat if you need to.
