      Some preliminary reports online has it pegged anywhere from $1,000 to $3,500. Seems like it'll be used msotly by hardcore trackdayers.

      A cool sidenote:

      The system activates when the bike exceeds 50 kph, and is inactive below that speed (so it would not deploy if a rider tripped and fell in the paddock, for example).

          erm are we supposed to be looking at a piece of equipment or someone saving a lowside? if its the latter cool, cuz thats what video comes up. Although from the discussion it seems it should be some piece of equipment

              ok I have seen the airbags before. They were even testing the electrics (in the hump on the leathers) during the '09 TT. I figured it was the airbag system, but you're right, that save was pretty sweet.
