  • Bikebandit.com rain gear?

    Has anyone tried this suit?:

For 49.99 it's probably the best buy i've seen on rain suits. I'm cheap, it's about all I can afford.

And I like bike bandit. Just wanted to see if anyone was familiar. Let me know!

They LOOK like frogg toggs. I can't tell if they are. At that price, go buy a set of Frogg Toggs

The cheapest set of frogg toggs (I've seen, i might have missed it) is $10 more, and can't be purchased from bike bandit. I'd be buying the suit with some other stuff so I'll save shipping and won't have to buy from as many places.

If you do buy anything from bikebandit.com, make sure you wait till this weekend (Friday afternoon - Sunday). They are having a big sale with pretty substantial %s off on gear.

I went to a shop that sells rain suits for construction workers and fisherman. I went in with my riding jacket and put the rain suit on over my clothes and paid $20cdn. I have worn them 4 times on the bike in the rain and have even rode 140km/h with the suit on and it hasn't ripped yet. The dealership wanted $100 for a rain suit that felt like a wind breaker that would probably also rip after a few rides. The suit is bright yellow which is kinda ugly but in bad weather you want to be seen.
