I have a textile jacket , Joe Rocket alter ego and I love it. My feelings are if I go down that hard to tear up the jacket, it is probably going to tear up no matter what I have on, could be wrong but feels pretty safe to me. Considering the two times that I have layed my bike down back in the early 90's, I had on a tank top and shorts. So anything is better than nothing. Now that I am so much older and wiser, lol, I wear my jacket 100% of the time, The alter ego is nice because it is three layers. It has a inner liner, and mesh layer and a waterproof shell. One thing about JR's is that they come in some bigger sizes. After all, there is a reason they call me Big Cory, lol
