    The first guy was wearing his gear and will live to tell his tale...

      Someone (older gentleman who sold his bike two months ago) asked me today if I wore gear for IF I'd crash, or WHEN I'd crash.

      Didn't really know how to answer him.

          Gear definitely helps in a crash, that is certain. Many people walk away unscathed from a crash because of their gear. They have bumps and bruises and their pride may be hurt. Those that don't wear gear end up with serious injuries, that could have been prevented with the proper gear.
