Anyone use Alpinestars SMX-1s?

They look really comfy! Anyone know if they give good protection aswell? Can't see in this shot but the achilles is really exposed. I'm assuming for good shifting and breaking but you guys think you are sacraficing protection?

I have the A* Effex boots, and I like them. They're comfy as well. In fact, comfy enough to wear all day if you forget sneakers or work shoes. I can't really speak to the ones in the pic, though.
