Have not purchased that helmet, but my experience with the budget-priced KBC helmets has been good, so I would say go for it.

Called them today because the website said it will ship within 24 hours but then when i got the order confirmation it said shipping on June 15th. Their customer service is always easy to deal with. Anyways, the woman said this is a brand new product for them and the factory will be shipping in a few weeks. I decided to wait because it seems like a good deal for a Snell M2000 and DOT approved helmet. Ill post back when i get it...

HJC's aren't bad units. I would have suggested you try to do some research and figure out who was making the whitney lids.

I didn't like the feel or fit of the HJC helmets

The KBC you were looking at is comfortable. My last helmet was the VR2 - Euro. It is a pretty light helmet too.

Oh well, I hope you like the HJC. I like to try the helmets on in person before ordering/buying one.
