No advice here, but I'm in the same boat. I'll let you know if I try something that works though.

Well with time running out and limited $$$ I decide on this tank bag..

      $52.46

Compact shape to fit most tanks.
Powerful, lightweight magnets for easy mounting.
Top Quality UV-treated Tri-Max® ballistic nylon.
      Highly reflective webbing.
Micro Hug Fiber? base holds the bag firm without marking bike.
      100% waterproof rainstorm cover.
      Measurements 13?L X 9?W X 7.5?H.
      Lifetime ?No Hassle? warranty.

Holding off on anyhting else. I'm going to use a duffle bag and some bungie cords on the passenger seat..

I picked up a set of saddle bags the other day.
I keep my rain gear in one side and my spare visor (clear or tinted) along with some other stuff (lunch/drinks) in the other.

I have those silver streak mini saddlebags and I think they're great. The size of them is perfect for the Katana and they fit on the bike without any issues
