  • Manta tank bag

Anyone have or know someone who has a manta tank bag? Im just curious to how big they actually are. Can you get like a bottle water and maybe a camera and a few snacks in the main area??? Curious cause I think im gonna get one for the gap trip so I can pack some water and stuff along on the rides!

    Thanks

I bought two of the XL Manta tank bags at www.motodepot.com but I'm hoping they are too large. I have a cortech tail bag but the dam thing keeps scratching up the bike. I put some covers on the bungees but it looks tacky...

It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride.

I have the manta bag also...I always carry a gps unit in the top pocket, my wallet and cell phone in the front pocket and two bottles of water in the main pocket along with a pair of gloves. There is plenty of room for a days worth of riding.

I have the Manta XL and it is just big enough. I keep a small notepad, car keys, pack of gum, visine, ear plugs, and loose change in the cell phone pocket. I keep my Walther P99 .40 cal, my wallet, a bottle of water, my cell phone, carry strap, gloves (when not riding), and a ziplock baggy of various drink mixes to add to the bottled water. In the cd player pocket I keep an MP3 player, my shades, and a hanky for cleaning my visor. In the hidden compatment I keep the rain cover, a Gerber Multi-tool, a pocket knife, and emergency cash. Also, I have had no issues with paint rubbing - I keep the bike clean and waxed -sprayed with quick detailer.
