  • timing help

So my go kart is powered by a 90 katana 750 motor. It has a dyna tek ignition system and coils. It has adjustable rev limiter and timing. I asked a friend to turn the rev limiter down before he rode and he turned the timing knob instead. And i just dont know where it was set before. Cant remember for the life of me. So where is a good spot to set it. It supposedly has aftermarket cam, individual pod filters. Dual aftermarket exhaust. It seems to not have much power down low but once it revs up it rips and becomes almost undrivable. Lol. Cant shift fast enough. Lol.

?? I read some where, I think it was dyna, that States total advance for a street motor was 35-40*. Seems high as hell but, yup that's what is says. Go to the dyna web site-installation. http://dynaonline.com/support/downlo...204%20cylinder stock OEM is 7* BTDC at idle
