I've sold a few people here Shorai units, I run them in my bikes. Maybe someone can give you their impression of the units.http://www.7thgeardesigns.com

I love my Shoria....
Pulled the bike out of the garage after 2.5 months sitting with no charger, started right up. F@#k Yeah!
Every acid bat I've ever had in the thing wouldn't last 2 weeks with out a charger.

AGM batteries are pretty good at maintaining charge too. I was impressed last weekend when I pulled the boat out of 6 months storage and the battery was still good enough to crank a Chevy V6 until she fired.
The longest the bike has sat is about 5 weeks, but the AGM battery still fires it right up.
Not light and compact like the Shorai, but probably about 1/2 the price.
