  • 1998 750 Rear Light Bulb Change

My rear light is out for my 1998 750 Kat. The brake light works but not the driving light ( bumble bee end ). I was just wondering which way is the best to go about changing this. I can see 2 screws on the bulb housing and a 4 screw bracket that seems to hold the amber lens. I would just like to know what is the best way to go about changing the bulb?

Also does anyone know ahead of time exactly what bulb this is ( model #)? In case I try to do this on Sunday and the store is closed? Is there any other bulb options?

    Thanks ahead of time.

    No need to unscrew anything

In the centre of the metal housing, there is a black socket with three wires going in. Grab it, twist it 180 degrees, and it will pull out. The bulb has a bayonet socket, push in , twist, and it will also pull out.

Pick up a replacement for $2 or so from gas stations or walmart
