Headlight bulb position?

Yea heres a real dumb question,
The headlight on my post Kat is very poor. Im wondering if the previous owner could have installed the bulbs in the wrong position? Ive replaced the bulbs but put them in the same way they came out. Any idea how a h4 should look propperly installed?

I put mine in wrong once . Light sucked . It DOES happen .... Just flip it and see what happens .

The bulb can only fit one way. The center tab straight up and then the clip holds it in

I've seen bulbs installed in Volvos that are wrong. lighting is impaired.

No joke - I have seen people bend tabs back or snap them off, ignore the damn things and tape them against the housing.
