Aftermarket Turn Signals

I tried to wire up some new rear turn signals while chopping the rear fender. Is there any reason they just wouldn't work? I cut the connector off the stock signal and attatched to the new one. I get nothing. The other side that is still factory works fine. It's only 2 wires so I know its wired correctly. Any ideas? It's a '00.

Burned out bulb? Switch the wires?

I actually just figured it out. Leave it to cheap ebay lights! There's a small washer that makes contact with the bulb. Well it was done very poorly and the wire was not making good contact. Spliced the wire, re-soldered everything and works great!
