I have a 1990 gsx600f and it's time to replace the coils but I want to know if I can use coils from another year katana. So what would work?

Time to replace the coils?... unless the coil is not working properly, there isn't really a "time" to replace it. They don't really have a "shelf" life.

Wires can be replaced on the coils if they are hard or damaged. I believe it's 7mm solid core plug wire you would want for that.

The coils are the same for all pre/post 600 and 750 Kats though, so ... if your set on replacing them, pic anything from 88+ and I know they will work.

If you are having a spark problem, you can try trimming back the wires just a little bit to see if that helps.

Why do you need to replace them?... if your not getting spark, chances are it's not the coils.. as Krey says they dont have a shelf life...

The reason I say it's time to replace them is because one of them went bad I'm pretty sure. I will double check though. Thanks for the info and the link!
