  • led turn signal issues

i have led turn signals on the rear of my bike and bulbs on the front they didnt flash but were bright so i got a pair of load resistors from ebay they flash good but the led signals are really dim and they flicker

    so a recap
before resistors led bulbs are bright but didnt flash

after resistors installed leds flash but they are very dim and flicker

also i have an led brake/tail/tag light it is bright but it also flickers but since its bright you cant see the flicker too easily

    any ideas??

    thanks

Sounds to me like the resistor value isnt right for the LED's. Go to the autoparts store and pick up a variable load flasher ($2.99). It should correct the resistance issues and hopefully make everything flash and light up correctly.

        try reversing the wires (polarity)
but usually they wont light up at all if polarity is wrong

did you put the resistor in series or parallel ????
my poor long term memory says it needs to be wired in "parellel"

ok i got one. it works perfectly the pn is EP-34 at advance auto parts the original flasher was a 2 wire and the new one is a 3 wire but there was one wire taped up by the plug it was the ground so the new flasher was plug and play im happy now my bike is 99% done all i need is a chain and im good to ride

          thank you so much HemiKat!!

it is supposed to be parallel. they were wired correctly just the wrong resistance
